Farzain is an engineering studio building custom software, Shopify apps, and AI systems for teams that need the thing shipped — not deliberated.

Services

Four things, done properly.

Small senior teams, direct access to the engineers writing your code, and a working build in front of you every week.

01

Custom software

Internal tools, customer portals, and platforms built to your process instead of bent around someone else's. TypeScript end to end.

Web appsAPIsIntegrations
02

Shopify apps & App Store publishing

Public and custom apps, embedded in Polaris, billing wired up, and taken through App Store review — we've done the checklist before.

Embedded appsCheckout UIReview prep
03

AI & automation

Retrieval systems, support agents, and document pipelines that run against your real data — with evaluation before anything reaches a customer.

04

Cloud & DevOps

AWS infrastructure as code, CI that actually gates, observability from day one, and a deploy that takes minutes and nobody's nerves.

What we believe

Software isn't finished when it's designed. It's finished when it's running.

Process

Five steps, no theatre.

Discover

One week. We map the workflow, the data, and the constraint that actually decides the architecture.

Design

Clickable flows before code. You approve screens, not wireframe metaphors.

Build

Two-week cycles against a staging URL that's live from day three. Nothing is a surprise at the end.

Ship

Release, monitoring, runbook, and a handover your own team can act on without us in the room.

Scale

Performance work, cost tuning, and a roadmap for the next quarter based on what usage actually showed.

Stack

Boring tools, chosen on purpose.

01 / 08
Frontend

The hiring pool and library ecosystem your team can maintain.

React
Framework

Server rendering and routing without a bespoke build to babysit.

Next.js
Runtime

One language across client and server — no context switch mid-feature.

Node
Server

Small, unopinionated, and still boring after a decade in production.

Express
Data

Flexible documents for product data that changes shape every quarter.

MongoDB
Commerce

Where your storefront already lives — we build inside it, not beside it.

Shopify
Infrastructure

Every managed service you will grow into, priced per use.

AWS
AI

The language every model, SDK, and data tool ships for first.

Why us

What you actually get.

Shopify App Store approved

Apps taken through the full review process — listing, billing, and all.

Stack

MERN specialists

Mongo, Express, React, Node — TypeScript end to end, one team, no handoffs.

How we work

Direct access

You talk to the engineer writing your code. No account layer in between.

Building for clients across India and abroad.

Work

Three things we shipped.

Drop app screenshot here
D2C skincare brand · Shopify
Problem

Bundles were built by hand in a spreadsheet, then re-entered into the store every promo.

What we built

A public Shopify app for rule-based bundles and volume discounts, embedded in admin with Polaris and usage billing.

Published on the App Store; promo setup went from a day to ten minutes.

Drop dispatch board here
Regional logistics operator
Problem

Dispatchers tracked 200+ daily consignments across WhatsApp, paper, and three disconnected tools.

What we built

A React and Node operations portal with live consignment status, driver assignment, and a customer tracking page.

One system of record; status calls to the office dropped by roughly half.

Drop assistant UI here
B2B SaaS support team
Problem

Support answered the same 40 product questions all day, with answers buried in a stale wiki.

What we built

A retrieval assistant over their docs and past tickets, with an eval set and a human handoff on low confidence.

First-response drafts in seconds, with every answer traceable to a source doc.

Engagement

Three ways to work with us.

01

Fixed-scope project

A defined build with a written scope, a fixed price, and a delivery date. Weekly demos against a staging URL.

Suits: a known problem with a clear finish line — an app, a portal, a migration.

02

Monthly retainer

A standing block of engineering hours each month for a roadmap that keeps moving. Priorities set at the start of every cycle.

Suits: live products that need continuous improvement, not a one-off handover.

03

Embedded engineer

One of our engineers joins your standups, your repo, and your board full-time for a quarter or more.

Suits: in-house teams that need senior capacity without a hiring cycle.

FAQ

Questions we get first.

Fixed-scope projects are quoted as one number after a paid discovery week, so the estimate is based on your real system rather than a guess. Retainers and embedded engineers are billed monthly at a flat rate. No hourly billing, no change-request surcharges for things we should have caught in scoping.

One week of discovery, then two-week build cycles. A focused Shopify app is usually six to ten weeks end to end; a full internal platform runs three to five months. You see working software from cycle one, not at the end.

Yes — we will sign yours before the first technical call, or send ours if you prefer. All work is covered by a written agreement where the IP transfers to you on final payment.

Every project ships with monitoring, a runbook, and a handover session for your team. After that you can take it in-house, keep us on a light support retainer, or bring us back per release — all three are common.

Most of our work is with teams in the US, UK, UAE, and Australia. We keep four hours of overlap with your working day, run everything asynchronously in writing, and invoice in your currency.

Regularly. We start with a paid audit — architecture, test coverage, dependency and security risk — and give you a written assessment with options. You are free to take that report elsewhere if you would rather not continue with us.

Tell us what you're trying to ship.

A few details and we will come back within one working day — usually with questions, not a brochure.
